Background 背景

As a graffiti artist with 27 years experience in the field, DEZIO has a deep connection with China. Sojourned with his parents before age 14, DEZIO spent his childhood in international schools in Hong Kong and Taiwan, China. Upon his return to Paris, graffiti art was surging exuberantly in the city, where DEZIO discovered his passion and started his practice in graffiti art. DEZIO’s return to China had a profound impact in the development of graffiti art in China. As one of the graffiti artists introduced the art form to the country, DEZIO was also the curator of China's first 4,000㎡ permanent mural project and the first Moganshan Street Art Exhibition in Shanghai.

拥有 27 年涂鸦创作经历的 DEZIO 对中国有着极深的情感。14 岁之前随父母旅居中国香港和台湾，DEZIO 在国际学校中度过了他的童年时光。当重返巴黎时，巴黎的街头涂鸦艺术正蓬勃兴起，DEZIO 亦就此开始了他的涂鸦创作之路。DEZIO 在 15 年前重返中国的土壤，并成为最早一批将涂鸦艺术带入中国的艺术家之一，也是中国首个超 4,000㎡ 永久壁画项目及上海莫干山路街头艺术展的策展人，为涂鸦艺术之后在中国的发展起到了至关重要的推进。

Residency Experience 驻地经历

DEIZO’s exhibition took place in The Belgian House, which is the first official public exhibition jointly organized by No Name and LEVC. A limited collaborative auto film of DEZIO x LEVC also made its debut during the open studio exhibition.

DEZIO 的开放展将在上海比利时之家举办。这也将是 No Name 与 LEVC 联手的第一次正式公开展览。DEZIO x LEVC 的限量合作款车身设计也将在工作室开放展当日首次亮相。

The series of artworks are inspired by the story of The Little Prince written by his great uncle, Alexandre de Saint Exupery. According to DEZIO, coming to No Name Studio in Zhujiajiao and creating art in an environment as such, is much like the pilot in the story, being isolated and on a quest to rediscover himself as an artist. He was very excited to interpret the post-modern version of The Little Prince and looks forward to meeting the fans of The Little Prince in China.

此次驻地艺术展览的系列作品以其叔祖父，安托万·德·圣埃克苏佩里著作《小王子》为灵感创作。DEZIO 形容道，来到位于朱家角的 No Name Studio 并在这样的环境中进行创作期间的自己仿佛化身成故事中的飞行员，在与世隔绝之境重新发现自己的艺术家身份。他非常兴奋可以诠释后现代的小王子，也很期待与中国的小王子迷们见面。

DEZIO reinterpreted many classic scenes from the well-known children's literature through his unique perspective and modern abstract expression. DEZIO reinterpreted the scenes with his refined graffiti skills and delivered his artistic perspective via mainly 3D graffiti works and art installations, explored and presented more possibilities of graffiti art on different art medium.

艺术家通过他独特的视角，用现代的抽象表达重新诠释了这部耳熟能详的法国儿童文学作品中不少经典场景。该系列作品的呈现延续了 DEZIO 擅长的涂鸦技法，有 3D 涂鸦雕塑和艺术装置，探索涂鸦艺术在不同艺术媒介上的更多可能性。
