In Town: Sit Down Installation 艺术装置

The installation art was jointly created by founders of No Name, Penny Kwan and Carlo Maria Rossi. Through a red space, multiple red chairs, and artistic presentation, the artists created a mysterious space of infinity possibilities, and expressed their original intention with strong visual expression - “standing up by sitting down” against the tumultuous city hustle. The artists encourage viewers to take a break from daily pressure, to have a moment to think, to conceive, to record, to create, and figure out what matters the most. More importantly, to stand up again, to act upon your determination, and to make it happen.

装置艺术作品「Sit Down」由 No Name 的两位创始人 Penny Kwan 和 Carlo Maria Rossi 共同打造。通过一个红色的空间、多个红色的椅子、及艺术感的呈现方式，营造了一个神秘且充满了无限可能的空间，并以强烈的视觉表现了他们的初衷——在喧扰的城市生活中「坐下 重新站起来」。艺术家鼓励观者从日常压力中抽身，去稍作休憩，去思考、去构思、去记录、去创作，去重新判断什么是最重要的人或事。更重要是的，在那之后重新站起来，去行动、去实现。

The experience flow of each viewers explains the artists’ initiation. You must climb through the ladder of “obstacle of life” to reach the top; it is the process of getting out of your comfort zone and out of your habitual thinking and behavior. Once you overcome the difficulties, you may reach the top and sit in the higher place; it is the process of constant perseverance of goals and continuous awakening of self-awareness. At the high seat of “success”, you will have a farther view and more opportunities and inspirations for creativity and self-expression; yet as in life, you must be more cautious, since it will hit harder once you fall.

每一个观者的体验过程本身即是艺术家创作初衷的诠释。你必须爬过「人生障碍」这个阶梯，才能到达顶峰；这是一个摆脱舒适区、脱离惯性思维和行为的过程。一旦你克服了困难，便可在高处坐下；这个过程代表了目标的不断坚定和自我意识的不断觉醒。而身处「成功」的高椅，你将看见更远的风景，也将拥有更多创造和表达的机会和灵感；但就如人生，你必须更谨慎，因为从高处摔落会砸得更重。

The artists delivered the art space in red since it is the color of love, confidence, success, and power. This art experience itself is the epitome of the process of success in life.

艺术家之所以选择红色来表现这一装置艺术，是因为这是代表爱、自信、成功和强大的颜色。而这一艺术体验过程也正是我们人生成功必经的过程之缩影。
